Douglas Pimlott is the Co-Founder and CEO of Carbonyx, a Vancouver-based company transforming CO₂ and mineral-rich waste into valuable industrial materials. Spun out of the University of British Columbia during his PhD research in electrochemical CO₂ conversion and mineralization, Carbonyx is building a new category of climate infrastructure where carbon removal is embedded directly into materials production. Douglas has led Carbonyx from laboratory concept to a venture-backed startup, securing partnerships across the construction, climate, and materials sectors.
