Danielle Klein has spent her career making complicated things feel simple at FreshBooks, Wealthsimple, and now as Director of Product Design at 1Password, where she leads UX teams working on one of tech’s hard problems: making security so intuitive it just gets out of your way. She’s held both design and research roles before moving into leadership, which means she can reliably be heard asking “but why?” before jumping to solutions. Outside of work, she co-authors Dear Danielle & Dave, a Substack newsletter about UX and the beautiful, messy reality of leading teams.

Crash Course: Speed vs. Momentum When Building Better Products

This Crash Course is designed for: Product and design practitioners

In product teams, process can seem like the antithesis of progress, and even more so when AI compresses timelines to raise the bar for what β€˜fast’ means. Yet process reflects the deeply human nature of product work, and most teams struggle to balance moving fast while meaningfully including stakeholders in the journey. This session provides a framework for understanding speed vs. momentum to help product teams ship with trust and alignment, together.

What to bring: Pen and paper or device to take notes
