Paul Matthews is the Creative Director at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, overseeing brand creative for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC, and the Toronto Argonauts, as well as MLSE’s slate of restaurants, venues and retail operations. Born in Toronto, Paul worked as a media critic and commercial film Producer and Director, before co-founding Consul Media Group, a boutique content agency in 2009. After directing two seasons of The Leaf: Blueprint, a behind-the-scenes series about the Toronto Maple Leafs, Paul came in-house at MLSE in 2018, ultimately launching the company’s in-house commercial agency in 2021. His work has been recognised at the Clio Sports Awards, the Canadian Marketing Awards, the Cannes Lions, the Stanleys (NHL Awards), the NBA Partnership Marketing Awards, and more.
