Today, Alik gave a talk at the Toronto Machine Learning Summit (<\/span>TMLS<\/span><\/a>) Machine Learning in Finance event! Alik\u2019s talk focused on the advances and limitations of deep learning in the field of ESG.<\/span><\/p>\n

The talk covered the evolution of deep learning models for natural language processing, and what specifically made the approaches pioneered by Google\u2019s BERT model in 2018 so unreasonably effective. At the same time, the talk covered some of the limitations of these modern language models, and the special importance of considering these limitations when working in finance.<\/span><\/p>\n
