Yasaman Soudagar, PhD, is a deep tech entrepreneur, scientist, investor, and startup mentor with a track record of translating complex technologies from the lab into commercial products.
She holds a PhD in Experimental Quantum Optics and Quantum Computing and has spent her career at the intersection of science, engineering, and entrepreneurship. Yasaman co-founded and served as CEO of Neurescence, a Toronto based optical brain imaging company, where she led the development and commercialization of advanced imaging systems used by neuroscience researchers internationally. Neurescence was acquired by Bruker Corporation in 2022, marking a successful exit for the company and its investors.
Yasaman is now the co-founder and CEO of Exhilarare, her second deep tech venture, developing a new advanced manufacturing platform for highly integrated electronic and optical products.
Beyond building companies, Yasaman is active in the startup ecosystem as a mentor to early stage founders and an angel investor. She is particularly passionate about helping technical founders navigate the difficult transition from scientific innovation to product, company, and scalable business.
Her experience spans deep tech commercialization, capital equipment, advanced manufacturing, fundraising, product development, and building and scaling science driven companies.
